Micro Irrigation Systems

Micro irrigation systems are an Israeli invention. In simple terms water is pumped through a network of pipes that are fitted with a series of small micro sprinklers to wet the ground.

Short range micro jets wet under the drip canopy of the trees and wide range micro jets wet the entire orchard surface.

Tree roots are generally located under the canopy of the tree. Roots don’t usually grow further than the spread of the branches.

It’s important to work out the amount of water that is available to use for irrigation.

Filtration of the water in a micro jet system is critical.

A little water often is far better than a lot of water now and then.
